A few days ago, I got an email from an insurance agent who explained to me that I’d have to pay $3,000 for a laser to remove a tear in my eye.
It was a $3k surgery.
My eyesight was just awful.
I had already had surgery and the doctor said I’d be out of luck if I didn’t have a laser treatment in place, which was really scary because I was already going through it.
I was going to have to have a second surgery because my doctor said my retina had to be removed.
It felt like a lifetime.
The procedure itself was really painful and lasted about four hours.
I had to use a mask for about an hour to stop the tears from spreading.
I’m so glad I didn`t have the surgery because now I can finally see the world and my friends, but I can`t take pictures with my new vision.
My parents also have no idea what a tear is, but they`re really excited about my new eye because I have a new scar.
My new glasses are now the most comfortable thing in the world.
I`ve been going through the procedure twice and they always seem to be successful, but once I got a second opinion from my surgeon I was able to get the laser treatment done at home.
It was super simple.
I took a look at the doctor, and I was like, “You know what, I know I shouldnt be going through this, but what am I going to do with my eyes?
It`s going to be really hard.”
I was told I would be able to use my old glasses for about a month and I would need to keep them on for two months, but it took me about a week to get them back.
At first, I was super bummed that my eyes were starting to get blurry and my vision wasn`t as good, but the laser seemed to be making a difference.
It helped me with my vision, my balance, and everything else.
I have no regrets about my surgery and I think the doctors did the best they could.
I hope I can make a big difference for others like me.
