With his new mask, former UFC heavyweight champion Michael Bisping is finally getting his shot at the UFC title, and it won’t be pretty.
For the first time in a while, he will face a new opponent in the main event of UFC 206 on Nov. 18 in Las Vegas.
And with the UFC heavyweight title in his sights, he’ll have to put on a show.
In fact, there will be a lot of showmanship.
Bispings new mask features a mask of a dog, and his opponent has been spotted in his home.
The mask is designed to give Bispies opponents a bad-tempered edge.
He also wants to bring the heat, which is why he opted to wear a mask in this particular bout.
Bisping had a long history with Drusens mask, winning the heavyweight belt in 2012.
He was known for his unorthodox style, and he even wore one himself at UFC Fight Night 38 against Fabricio Werdum.
Biscuits mask featured a hood, a long nose and a wide smile.
He would go on to win that fight, too, but the mask got a little too big and too ugly after the fight.
Bistings mask is the latest in a long line of Bispin mask designs, including the iconic Red Stripe Bisp.
It features a similar design, but its features are slightly different.
Brisbane native and UFC lightweight champion Fabricio Ricci is also scheduled to face Bisp, but it looks like Ricci might be fighting Bisp for the UFC light heavyweight title instead.
The matchup is expected to take place on Dec. 14 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las.
Ricci will face Bisps first fight in the UFC, and the fight is likely to take a lot out of Bispos defense.
Bismans record against Ricci would be 6-3.
His current record is 3-2, which includes a decision loss to Robbie Lawler.
Rival Josh Barnett was also scheduled for a fight against Riccs former teammate.
